Sand art-inspired hair a sweeping trend

Summer means a lot of lazy days on the beach, sinking your toes into the warm sand and watching the waves crash and break onto the shore. This year, that pastime is the motivation behind a cool new hair style, inspired by sand art.

Funky colors aren't exactly new, considering that Zayn Malik, Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry have all long flashed neon tresses. This style differs, however, in that it twists a kaleidoscope of colors into one 'do reminiscent of the sand art projects that we used to make as kids.

This month, one hair care line created a new line of products, available at select Beaumont hair salons, that makes this fantastic possibility a reality for anybody interested in adding some fun to their hair this season. An article in Teen Vogue describes exactly what allows stylists to create this bold new look:

"[The product] gives your hair long-lasting, intensely saturated colors that won't stain or transfer onto lighter strands when you're eventually ready to move on from the look. The technique of the coloring process is different, too. Instead of traditional root to tip ombre, where the roots are one solid shade and the ends are another, your colorist works in small 3" sections and allies different rainbow colors all over to create the layered sand art effect," explains the magazine.

Feeling nostalgic or just want to give your look a jolt? This cool new 'do could be just the thing. Contact a professional hair stylist today to see how to get all the colors of the rainbow adorning your locks.
